Understanding Digital Health Incentive Scheme (DHIS)

The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), led by the National Health Authority (NHA), aims to create a cohesive digital health ecosystem throughout India. By integrating with the ABDM platform, this effort seeks to enable healthcare providers, such as clinics, diagnostic centers, hospitals, labs, and pharmacies. By doing this, it ensures that all citizens of the nation may benefit from digital healthcare.

Benefits of the Digital Health Incentive Scheme

  • Improve  Pharmacy Profitability:
The scheme helps pharmacies manage daily expenses like staff salaries, electricity, water bills, and other operational costs. By easing these financial pressures, pharmacies can improve their overall profitability.

  • Covers Digital Transformation Costs:
Pharmacies can get financial support to cover the costs of adopting digital tools and technologies, such as setting up online systems, upgrading software, or integrating digital payment methods. This reimbursement encourages digitization without extra financial burden.

  • Increases Shop Revenue:
With the incentives provided by DHIS, pharmacies can offer discounts to patients, making products more affordable and attracting more buyers. This, in turn, leads to higher sales and more income per transaction.

Who is eligible?

  • All medical facilities, such as clinics, hospitals, and assisted living facilities.
  • Laboratory/Radiology diagnostics centers and pharmacies.
